Trollbeads charm bracelets, founded in 1976 by Soren Nielsen who created beads from the process of centrifugal casting which his father, Svend, began in 1936, engraving the infamous troll face on the very first bead. These humble beginnings in Copenhagen, Denmark lead to Svend's daughter opening her own jewellery store and launching Trollbeads as a collection of beautiful beads, individually designed. Since then the development of the beads has become a piece of jewellery history, with glass being introduced and a unique silver lining through which customers could slide beads on to their bracelets and necklaces, creating new and exciting colours and looks to their jewellery.
